A distinctive brand for a small business

I couldn’t believe my luck when Lachy Campbell Farrier reached out looking for a logo design for their small, Australian farrier business. Two farrier branding projects in one lifetime?! How does a midwestern city girl get so lucky? They asked me to incorporate camp drafting (a specifically Australian equestrian sport), but otherwise gave me free reign to play.

Primary Logo

I wanted to keep the primary logo simple, iconic, and to the point. Designed to work at various scales and across media.

Secondary Logos

The secondary logos reflect the primary equestrian sports that Lachy works with.

Tertiary Logos

I initially did about nine sketches for Lachy, and they ended up liking all of them. So rather than narrowing, we created a system of logos (and a pattern lockup) that worked together and allowed them flexibility and playfulness across applications.
